Jess and Sheldon were nice enough to invite us on our first real destination wedding (WOO HOO!) up to Plymouth, Mass. After flying up Friday night, we used Saturday to check out the wedding party’s shore spot, some lunch in Plymouth, and to visit the Plimoth Planation to scope out the grounds for Sunday. Come Sunday, it was time for a wedding! We headed over early to this fantastic old bed and breakfast turned rental home to capture the girls getting ready and enjoying themselves. It couldn’t have been more peaceful. Jazz being played throughout the house with light bleeding in through all of the windows on the porch and views of the Cape Cod Bay as the ocean breeze gently blew. Once it was time for the wedding, both the guys and the girls boarded their own bus and headed to the plantation. The ceremony was in this beautiful garden. One thing that was really cool was that Jess and Sheldon decided to write their own vows (something we don’t see too often), and it really brought everything together perfectly. A short trip later to the Peabody Pavilion and it was time to dance, hear some great speeches, and enjoy the night. Something particularly nice was that both sides of parents and Sheldon’s sister all spoke, and you could tell that everyone could not be more proud of both of them and to welcome the other to their family. As if the day couldn’t be more perfect, the night ended with a star-filled clear sky that was definitely nice to see after being used to the city lights of Philly. We loved spending the weekend with both Jess and Sheldon and can’t wait to get back up to New England!
